Why I'm Running
I am running for a member of Parliament as an independent, common sense, candidate after discussions with struggling Toronto Centre families to do something. They commonly tell me at the kitchen table, the conversation is usually about high food prices brought about by price gouging grocery chains, unaffordable mortgage payments, increases to rent by corporate landlords and rising homelessness among other issues.
I campaigned on some of these issues when I ran for Mayor of Toronto in 2023 and it's the reason I'm compelled to run again as an independent now.
To bring about meaningful change:
I will fight unconditionally to bring about a common sense normalcy in Ottawa by utilizing collaborative solutions with the Toronto Centre community and cut the Red Tape to the development of more affordable housing and I have a plan to bring more competition at the grocery stores.
These are not normal times with economic uncertainty growing.
I hope I have the honor of representing you at this crucial time.
